BCISD strives to meet the diverse needs of its varied population.
  • Computer-guided early-intervention reading program
  • Bilingual education/English as a second language
  • Matagorda County Educational Services (MCES) - services for students who are dyslexic, ADD/ADHD, learning disabled or multi-handicapped, need Life Skills, are hearing or sight impaired, have behavioral issues, and more - see website

  • Alternative School for Education (ACE) for students who are behind two or more years, and are at risk of dropping out or not graduating  Read more here...

  • Academic Recovery Center (ARC) - concentrates on credit recovery for 9th and 10th grade utilizing PLATO learning system software
  • After-school tutorials for all students, all schools, all grade levels; transportation provided
  • TAKS tutorials during and after school
  • Community tutorials at several local churches
